Ibrahim Ajia: How I will Bring Development to Asa/Ilorin-West Federal Constituency

By Bolaji Israel

Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim Ajia, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for House of Representatives in Kwara, has revealed how he will attract development to the Asa/Ilorin West Federal Constituency areas if elected in the forthcoming 2023 Election.

Ajia is seeking to represent Ilorin West and Asa Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.

He stated this on Wednesday in Ilorin while unveiling his “Presentation of Offer to Serve” the constituents.

Ajia assured voters that his vast experience in public and private service, and his robust contacts will be leveraged to bring vital developments to the area.

“By the grace of Almighty Allah, I have had the special blessing and privileges of working with prominent personalities from across the nation.

“I have met, associated with, and engaged with people from all walks of life, in both public and private sectors, in the course of my service in the Nigeria Police Force. After my retirement, I have come to realized that contact and connections with people especially in position of authority is an invaluable asset in this country.

“I will offer my contacts and connections with people of reckon in both the public, private, and diaspora at the disposal of our people in this Federal Constituency and indeed our dear state,” he noted.

In his speech tagged “Responsible and Effective Representation with Honesty, Openness, Patriotism and Excellence”, the candidate promised that he will make meaningful interventions, adding that his, ” commitment is to deploy public and private sector experience and networks with people and institutions across all levels of government to attract projects, amenities and programmes that will create a better life for the people.”
.
According to him, as some body who has passed through rigours of life, he will never abandon his people.

He recounted: “Since I was young, I have witnessed how my people struggle to make ends meet. I have lived through it all, and understand their experiences. I hawked Amala and Rice on the streets of Ilorin at the age of nine to assist my parents in fending for the family. I understand what it is to struggle for survival.

“From that experience I got determined in my heart to fight hard to succeed in life, I resolved to get involved in helping people around me as much as I can. It is that resolve that informed my venture into politics.

“My mission is to give the good people of Asa and Ilorin West a responsible and effective representation in the Green Chamber.

“What our people need is basic support from the government that will empower them to fend for themselves, ” he explained.

In their remarks, the state PDP Chairman, Mr Babatunde Mohammed, and the Iyaloja of Kwara, Hajia Adenike Lambe, said that the candidate’s desire to serve was borne out of constructive thinking and intellectual ideology.

His life history as a person from humble background would make him perform well because he would be able to feel the needs of the people to make people oriented legislation, they said.
