The #Lagos State government has announced the reopening of worship centres, including churches and mosques with effect from August 7.
This followed mixed reactions from the public over the continued lockdown of worship centres, as worshippers and religious leaders appear divided over the safety of lives at the centres as the novel coronavirus popularly known as covid-19 continues to hit hard in Nigeria and the world, with increasing infection rates and casualties.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu made the reopening announcement during his update on the coronavirus disease in the state.

He also announced an increase in the number of public gatherings capacity from 20 to 50 people.
Mosques will reopen on August 7 while churches will begin worship on August 9.
