NAICOM Applauds Odu’a Subsidiary, Glanvills Enthoven Insurance on New Lagos Office

The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has commended Glanvills Enthoven Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers Limited, a subsidiary of Odu’a Investment Company Limited (OICL), on the commissioning of its new corporate headquarters, Glanvills House, Lagos.

THECONSCIENCE NG reports that the commissioning ceremony, held on Friday, drew industry regulators, business leaders, board members, clients, and stakeholders from the insurance and financial services sectors.

Speaking at the event on behalf of NAICOM, Mr. Olajide Oretan described the development as a commendable investment that would further strengthen the image of Nigeria’s insurance industry.

According to him, the new headquarters would enhance customer experience and create a more welcoming and professional environment for clients.

“This move is commendable, boosts the image of the insurance industry in Nigeria and should be emulated by other players. The new headquarters will make customers more welcome and comfortable,” Oretan said.

In her remarks, Director of Glanvills, Hon. (Chief) Jumoke Okoya-Thomas, said the commissioning marked a significant milestone in the company’s 69 years growth journey and commitment to improved service delivery.

She noted that the new office reflected the company’s confidence in the future and determination to provide easier access to its services while fostering collaboration and innovation.

“We designed this space with our clients and stakeholders in mind to make it easier to access our services, create a more collaborative environment for our team, and provide the infrastructure needed for expansion,” she said.

Okoya-Thomas added that the new headquarters symbolised both the company’s history and future aspirations, reaffirming its commitment to integrity, reliability, and customer-first service.

Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Glanvills Enthoven, Dr. Olasupo Falana, described the new headquarters as “a landmark of vision and excellence,” saying the project represented decades of resilience, transformation, and institutional growth.

Falana traced the company’s history from its establishment in London to its expansion into Nigeria in 1957, noting that its transformation into an indigenous insurance brokerage firm reflected confidence in Nigerian enterprise and local capacity.

“This building itself stands as a landmark of vision and excellence, a symbol of how far we have come and a reflection of the future we are determined to build,” he said.

He stressed that the company’s enduring values of professionalism, transparency, integrity, efficiency, and teamwork had sustained its operations through changing economic and industry conditions.

According to him, the new facility would serve not only as a workplace but also as a centre for innovation, collaboration, and stronger customer engagement.

“As we commission this facility today, we are opening the door to a new chapter driven by innovation, technology, operational excellence, and stronger customer engagement,” Falana added.

Group Chairman of Odu’a Investment Company Limited, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, said the commissioning reflected the group’s commitment to repositioning its subsidiaries for competitiveness and operational excellence.

Ashiru described Glanvills as the group’s flagship insurance brokerage subsidiary and said the new office represented a bold statement of growth and strategic expansion.

“This commissioning is a proud moment for Odu’a Investment. What we witness today is a physical manifestation of our collective resolve to expand, modernise, and deliver superior value to our clients and stakeholders,” he said.

He charged the company to use the new office as a launchpad for deeper client relationships, innovation in insurance broking and pensions consulting, and improved service delivery.

Also speaking, Group Managing Director of Odu’a Investment Company Limited, Mr. Abdulrahman Yinusa, said the new Glanvills House symbolised the group’s broader strategy of strengthening subsidiaries and positioning them for leadership in competitive markets.

According to him, the investment would improve operational efficiency, boost staff productivity, enhance brand visibility, and deepen client engagement.

“This new Glanvills House is not just an asset on our books — it is a bold declaration that Odu’a Investment subsidiaries are rising to compete, lead, and endure,” Yinusa said.

He noted that the company expected the investment to translate into measurable growth in market share, client satisfaction, and profitability, while reaffirming the group’s commitment to ethical and client-focused business practices.

He added that the milestone be treated as a tool and not a trophy.

The newly commissioned Glanvills House is situated at 64, Ikorodu Road, Fadeyi, Lagos, and is expected to serve as the operational headquarters for the company’s expanding national network across major cities in Nigeria.
