Fubara Invites Amaewhule, Others For Meeting Over Supreme Court Judgement
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has extended an invitation to the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Martin Amaewhule, and other lawmakers for a meeting.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at the Governor’s Office in the Government House, Port Harcourt, on Monday, March 10, 2025.
This announcement was made in a letter dated March 7, 2025, and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo.
The letter reads in part, “In continuation of His Excellency’s promise as stated in my letter dated March 5, 2025, I wish to notify you that His Excellency has received the Supreme Court judgment and has therefore directed me to invite you and your colleagues – the Honourable members of the Rivers State House of Assembly – to a meeting.”
The Secretary to the State Government further explained that the meeting would address several key issues, including the provision of a suitable venue for Assembly sittings, the payment of outstanding remuneration and allowances to the Honourable members, as well as the presentation of the budget and other matters aimed at advancing the development of the state.
The invitation continued, “In light of the above, I hereby humbly invite the Rt Hon Speaker and all members of the Rivers State House of Assembly to a meeting with the Governor as follows:

Time: 10:00 AM
Venue: Office of the Governor, Government House, Port Harcourt.
“Thank you, Sir, as we look forward to your kind attendance and collaboration in shaping a positive future for the people of Rivers State.”
