Eko Revenue Plus Summit Sets to Boost Revenue Streams in Lagos

Modo Ante, a pioneer Governance, Public Sector, and Political Consultancy, is delighted to announce the Eko Revenue Plus Summit, scheduled to take place on September 25-26, 2024, at the Eko Hotel and Towers, Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to Joko Okupe, CEO, Modo Ante, “We are aware that Lagos State is a home for all Nigerians, a hub for commercial and business activities and as such is continuously in need of ways to improve its revenue generation to constantly improve lives and livelihood of its citizens and inhabitants.

This is our inspiration for the Summit, which is intended to be all-encompassing; involving all critical stakeholders in all aspects of the commanding heights of the economy – in Lagos, Nigeria, and globally”

This ground-breaking summit, themed “Unlocking New Revenue Streams for Lagos State,” aims to explore innovative, technology-driven and citizen-friendly solutions to unlock fresh revenue opportunities to enhance the State’s revenue, ensuring continuous provision of improved social amenities and economic opportunities for its citizens and residents – Lagosians.

Eko Revenue Plus Summit

The Eko Revenue Plus Summit is a collaborative effort between Modo Ante and Lagos State through the Special Adviser to the Governor on Taxation & Revenue and supported by Wema Bank, who has come on board as Headline Sponsors.

According to the Modo Ante CEO, the Organizers of this project, “The Eko Revenue Plus Summit is a revenue re-engineering project that will bring together experts from various sectors to discuss and present cutting-edge, technology-driven, citizens-friendly solutions for enhancing revenue generation.

Some of these solutions, which hitherto did not exist, will help Lagos to develop and implement innovative platforms targeted at delivering services to citizens to harness new revenue streams, thereby positioning the State as a model for innovative governance and economic innovations in Nigeria and beyond.”

This Summit will feature keynote speeches and panel discussions, facilitated by renowned experts and stakeholders who are committed to driving the economic growth and development in Lagos.

Speaking further, Mr Okupe said that, “One of the core objectives of the Summit is to ensure that the State generates additional revenues to enable the State deliver improved services and amenities, which in turn will enhance the standard of living and livelihood for Lagosians, making Lagos a better place to live, work and conduct business.

He added that, “Increased revenue also means more economic opportunities for the citizens and residents of Lagos State. The summit will discuss initiatives to support job creation, entrepreneurship, and the growth of small businesses.

By fostering a conducive environment for economic activities, Lagos can expect to see significant advancements in its revenue base and economic landscape.”

The initiatives and solutions to be discussed will focus on long-term, sustainable, yet innovative revenue generation solutions that foster economic stability and growth. Sectors to be covered in this maiden edition of the Summit include, Property Sector, Digital Economy, Informal Sector, Energy Sector and Circular Economy.

Modo Ante, has been working closely with the Special Adviser, Taxation & Revenue and his team for well over 6 months to deliver this Summit. The Summit would go beyond talk, as carefully crafted plans have been laid out to ensure effective execution of some of the innovations from the event.

Soon, the firm will be reaching out to identified relevant stakeholders, including businesses, MDAs, business leaders and the media, to sponsor, partner, exhibit or participate in any other way to harness mutually beneficial opportunities for all parties; the State, Participants and Lagosians at large.

With all stakeholders working together with the State, we can unlock new revenue streams and pave the way for the prosperous Lagos.
