Easter: “Imitate Sacrifcial Love of Christ,” Ayodele Urges Nigerians
As the world celebrates Easter, Nigerians have been urged to emulate the selfless and sacrificial love exemplified by Jesus Christ
Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele gave this charge while speaking on the Easter celebration in commemoration of the death and resurrection of Christ.
The popular prophet also called on Nigerians, especially Christians, to use the opportunity of the season to be reconcile with God.
In a statement received by the THECONSCIENCEng, he said, “Without the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, which we are celebrating at this time, our hope as Christians would be baseless.
The sacrificial death of Jesus Christ and his resurrection on the third is the central message of the gospel and the sure sign that God so love us and wnt us to be reconciled to him.
The cleric who is known for his sacrificial giving and charity to indigents in the society thereby urged Christians to show the sacrificial love of Christ to everyone pointing out that, “If we love ourselves sacrificially as God loves us the issue of insecurity and other problems, we are encountering in the society will not occur,” he said.
On the forthcoming general elections in the country, urged Nigerians to seek the mind of God.
“It is important for leaders and the led to seek the mind of God, when we seek the face of God and do his will we shall always get it right,” he stated.
