FirstBank December Is A vybe 2022: Wowing Experiences, Incredible Memories

Nigerians don’t joke with fun time and pleasurable moments in December. Having worked hard all through the year to survive and possibly ‘blow’ In a very harsh economic clime, they are eager to savour a season of well-deserved rest and pleasure, and arts and rich entertainment comes so handy for the moment especially with the homecoming families and friends visiting from overseas.

Little wonders asides from generally contributing significantly to a rapidly growing arts and entertainment industry currently pegged at USD 29.35 billion in 2022 (Statista Report), the season generates a spike in entertainment with thousands thronging venues of shows, concerts and other events.  

So, it was a most suitable strategy for First Bank to key into the psyche and mood of Nigerians with the annual December is a vybe campaign. The initiative chiefly remains about providing access to premium mix of musical concerts, fashion, comedy shows, drama and other forms of arts around the holidays season.

Following successful editions in previous years, 2022 edition was phenomenal with the premier bank and financial powerhouse sponsoring scores of customers to go and enjoy their most cherished and desired events.

It was a swell time for the lucky ones who had an overdose of music and good time at the BigWiz Vibes on The Beach Concert. The colourful event which held at The Landmark Beach Oniru in Lagos on Friday December 30 was particularly super in all ramifications. Hours before the show kicked off, scores of music and fun lovers besieged the beach side venue that was lavishly decorated with bright colours and well-arranged fittings most suitable for the experience.

As guests get cleared and ushered into the well-cordoned area, they get serenaded by the soothing embrace of the breeze from the ocean creating a perfectly natural ambience and feeling. Choice drinks, snacks and other items were also readily available.    

While the excited audience awaited the arrival of Wizkid, the star act of the night, singers and comic acts took the stage, doling out tunes after tunes, jokes and other trivia, getting the frenzied audience screaming for more.

Internet sensation Soft made it, VJ Adams, sultry female singer, Gucci and many others all wowed the audience with latest sensational, energetic and acrobatic dance moves and mix. Comedians – Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori popularly known as Kie Kie and  Debo Adedayo aka Mr Macaroni also spiced up the mood with exhilarating performances.

There was also a dance competition that got a few people going home with over N100K while FirstBank also gave out the sum of N1 million naira to the winner of its trivia game which held on the side-lines of the event.

When Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid eventually arrived in pomp and pageantry with blinding lighting effects, he didn’t disappoint the ladies. He kept dropping strings of love music back to back from his classic albums to the latest.

From Essence, Fever, Steady, Low, Energy, Brown Skin Girl to Joro, he kept the tempo high and the ladies were wildly screaming their lungs out. He later switched to the more vibrant tunes which got everyone gyrating to songs like Ojuelegba, Don’t Dull, Pakurumo, Nawo, Smile, Ginger, Daddy Yo, Final, Mighty Whine and many more.

Earlier in the month, FirstBank also provided tickets to vibe with the raves of the moment, Kiss Daniel and Asake and enjoy musical shows which held at Eko Hotel. It was another treat to good music and vibe for the fans and the bank’s lucky customers.

With tunes like Odo, Oshe, Buga, Yeba and more, Kiss Daniel almost raised the roof. Asake also provided another wow experiencewith his popular hits rocking the waves like Joha, Bandana, Organise, Loaded, Sungba etc.

Ali Baba’s January 1 annual Comedy Show also got ribs cracking as people stepped into the new year in high spirit. The King of Comedy made sure there was no dull moments while other up and coming humour merchants added colour to the day.

DecemberIssaVybe is not just about music but fun in its entirety, from stage plays to art and culture, the list comprised Culturati to Beeta Arts Festival Abuja, Koffi Tha Guru Unorthodox, Duke of Shomolu Production’s Encore, Our Duke Has Gone Mad Again and Ufok Iban. Others supported by the Bank include Joromi: The Musical Concert; Osamede and Awo.

On the Bank’s commitment to vybing the society in December, the Group Head, Marketing & Corporate Communications, Folake Ani-Mumuney said, The yearly partnership tagged FirstBankIssaVybe which kicked off in 2018, was designed by the Bank to create an enthralling and enabling experience as well as incredible memories for Nigerians in the Yuletide season to bond with family and friends, whilst connecting with their favourite superstars.

The 2022 Edition was tagged Homecoming and targeted at connecting Nigerians in diaspora with those at home for great holiday experience and memories during the visit.

The month- long activity loaded event include musical shows and concerts, comedies, fashion, arts and food fairs and are specifically supported to evoke joyful moods as everyone gears up for the celebrations of the end of the year, especially the yuletide.

Showcasing an array of the hottest and coolest entertainment platforms, and superstars, DecemberIssaVybe campaign offers free massive gifts and ticket giveaways to premium events aimed at creating fascinating memories for stakeholders in the Yuletide season as they bond with family and friends, whilst connecting with their favourite superstars, music, plays.
