Plateau State, North Central Nigeria was the worst hit with 183 of the 296 new cases as Covid19 in Nigeria persisted across states on Tuesday.

Confirmed new cases of the deadly Covid19 in Nigeria recently dropped significantly in most zones but has continued to fluctuate especially in the South West and Northern regions fueled by persistent new cases in FCT, Lagos and especially Plateau which has remained the new epicentre of the deadly Covid19 in Nigeria, TheConscience reports.

This online newspaper gathers that government authorities late Tuesday released the latest reports with Plateau State taking the lion share alone with 183 of the 296 new cases of Covid19 in Nigeria.

According to the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control NCDC new figures released on its website late Tuesday September 8, 2020, 6 deaths and 296 freshly confirmed new cases were recorded on the Covid19 in Nigeria as the rate persists nationwide across the zones.

From TheConscience Covid19 in Nigeria analysis, North Central took the grim lead with South West on a distanced second with 213 and 72 of the 296 new cases respectively on Tuesday September 8.

“On the 8th of September 2020, 296 new confirmed cases and 6 deaths were recorded in Nigeria

“Till date, 55456 cases have been confirmed, 43334 cases have been discharged and 1067 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

“The 296 new cases are reported from 15 states- Plateau (183), Lagos (33), FCT (25), Ogun (16), Oyo (7), Ekiti (6), Kwara (5), Ondo (5), Imo (3), Anambra (3), Nasarawa (3), Rivers (2), Gombe (2), Edo (2), Akwa Ibom (1)
