Child Abuse: Lagos Driver Batters 6-Year Old, As Idimu DPO Swings into Action

THECONSCIENCE NG has uncovered how a thirty-three year old driver in Lagos State, Tayo Arowolo in Idimu area of the state, brutalised a six-year old girl, Maria Arowolo, a sibling of his pregnant partner who lives with them.

The unmarried expectant mother, Adejoke, an indigene of Osun State revealed that Tayo battered the little Maria over her failure to understand her studies while an infuriated Tayo was coaching her.

The incident happened at their No.9 Oba Amusa Sumbo street, Idimu residence last week.

It was gathered that days after the incident, the flesh wounds got worse due to lack of medical care before neighbours who noticed the severity took the victim to a nearby hospital and invited the police.

When contacted by our correspondent for comments, the Divisional Police Officer, Idimu Police Station, CSP Agatha Eze, confirmed the incident.

She said the incident happened last week Monday at the couples residence in Idimu but was only reported on Wednesday, prompting the police to swing into action immediately.
