Burna Boy Drops “Laho” Original With Shallipop
THECONSCIENCE NG reports that Nigerian Afrobeat star Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has opened up about the delay in releasing the original version of “Laho,” his collaboration with Shallipopi.
Taking to Instagram, Burna Boy shared that the track, which drops today, April 25th, was initially planned for an earlier release. However, scheduling conflicts with his other projects prevented it from being cleared on time.
In a light-hearted post, the Grammy-winning artist joked about how fans still don’t quite understand his style:
“So after all these years y’all still don’t know me enough? If this ‘Laho’ was the remix then I’d go first lol. This was actually the original version—it just couldn’t be cleared for the time he wanted to release ’cause it clashed with other releases that had to do with me. Na the remix Shalli first drop, this is the original.”
He confirmed that the original version of the track, titled “Laho 2” by Shallipopi featuring Burna Boy, is set to drop at midnight.
