It was an assemblage of giants yesterday when eminent personalities and distinguished professionals.across various fields of endeavour gathered in Ikeja, Lagos at the launch of Odu’a Investment Foundation’s Digital Education for Innovation and Economic Development (DEFINED) project, aimed at advancing digital education and inclusive innovation in the Southwest region of the country.
Some of the dignitaries who added colour to the event include Nigeria’s advertising icon, Dr Biodun Shobanjo, the Chairman of Troyka Holdings who serves on the advisory board of Odu’a Foundation.

95 year old political leader, elder statesman, and leader of Yoruba’s foremost socio-political group, Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo; two time Minister of Industry and former President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Chief Mrs Onikepo Akande; Ambassador Dr Mrs Olatokunbo Awolowo Dosumu; Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, ace banker, management expert, former Ogun State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry and Group Chairman of Odu’a investment company limited; and the Sheffield Business School, United Kingdom’s Professor of Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation, and Project Director, Seun Kolade, were among other respectable heavyweights who graced the event physically.

The event also had Chief Segun Ojo who represented Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu; Permanent Secretary, Office of Secretary to the State Government/Cabinet Office, Tolani Oshodi who represented Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; the Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi who represented Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun; former Deputy Vice Chancellor, University of Ibadan and Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Professor Olanike Kudirat Adeyemo who represented Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, as well as the Akarigbo and paramount ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi amongst others.
According to OIF, DEFINED will enhance transformative entrepreneurship and employment opportunities across the South West.
Chairman, Odu’a Investment Foundation, Ambassador Olatokunbo Dosumu, said DEFINED is another significant digital step towards having a smart, globally competitive youth population, adding that the youth are the drivers of development all over the world.
