Anthony oshua To Fight YouTube Star, Jake Paul In December
THECONSCIENCE NG reports that influencer-turned-boxer Jake Paul is set to face two-time heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua in a highly anticipated bout scheduled for December 19, 2025, in Miami, U.S.
The announcement was made on Monday by Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) and Matchroom Boxing, who also confirmed the official rules for what has already been described as a controversial heavyweight clash.
According to the promoters, the fight will take place at the Kaseya Center, home of the Miami Heat. Both fighters are expected to make their first public appearance together at a launch press conference on Friday. The bout will be a professionally sanctioned contest, consisting of eight three-minute rounds, with both athletes wearing 10-ounce gloves.
The organizers further revealed that the fight will be broadcast globally on Netflix and hinted that both Paul and Joshua could earn close to $100 million from the event.
Jake Paul, speaking in a press release, said:
“This isn’t an AI simulation. This is Judgment Day. A professional heavyweight fight against an elite world champion in his prime. When I beat Anthony Joshua, every doubt disappears, and no one can deny me the opportunity to fight for a world title.
To all my haters, this is what you wanted. To the people of the United Kingdom, I am sorry. On Friday, December 19, under the lights in Miami, live globally only on Netflix, the torch gets passed and Britain’s Goliath gets put to sleep.”
Responding, former Olympic gold medallist Anthony Joshua stated:
“Jake or anyone can get this work. No mercy. I took some time out and I’m coming back with a mega show. It’s a big opportunity for me.”
