Plateau Highest with Covid19 cases in Nigeria lately as announced at the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control NCDC Building

Plateau State, North Central Nigeria was again the worst hit with 83 of the 197 new cases as Covid19 in Nigeria persisted on Thursday.

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control NCDC has confirmed that Nigeria recorded 5 fresh causalities and 197 new cases of covid19 pandemic on Thursday September 10, with a total 55829 cases confirmed, 43810 patients discharged and 1075 deaths.

This is as Covid19 in Nigeria new cases picked up again across the country with five dead and 196 new cases of the deadly virus recorded in 13 states with Plateau, Lagos, FCT and Kaduna taking the highest grim share, TheConscience reports.

The NCDC confirmed new cases of the deadly Covid19 in Nigeria recently dropped significantly in most zones but has persisted especially in the South West and North Central regions fueled by persistent new cases in Lagos, Plateau, FCT, Kaduna, and Ogun on Thursday with the highest tally rotating between the first three listed states for the last two months, TheConscience reports.

From TheConscience Covid19 in Nigeria analysis, South West, North Central, South East and South South zones recorded 61, 126, 4 and 6 of the 197 new cases respectively on Thursday September 10. Plateau has been the epicentre of the deadly virus recently, unseating Lagos which was the initial hotbed for months.

According to NCDC, “On the 10th of September 2020, 197 new confirmed cases and 5 deaths were recorded in Nigeria

Till date, 55829 cases have been confirmed, 43810 cases have been discharged and 1075 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

The 197 new cases are reported from 13 states- Plateau (83), Lagos (48), Kaduna (17), FCT (16), Ogun (11), Katsina (7), Imo (4), Edo (3), Nasarawa (3), Rivers (2), Bayelsa (1), Oyo (1), Osun (1).”
