Covid19 Nigeria new cases rose again in the North but maintained the significant drops in Lagos and other Southern zones.

Confirmed cases have significantly dropped in most Southern States especially South West and South Eastern states but sadly maintained its rise in the Northern States especially Plateau, FCT and Kaduna with 69, 41 and 14 new cases respectively as Nigeria recorded 250 fresh confirmed cases from 20 states on Saturday, TheConscience reports.

This online newspaper gathers that government authorities late Saturday released the latest reports with Plateau topping the National grim chart again.

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control NCDC gave the new figures on its website late Saturday 29th of August 2020, with 250 freshly confirmed cases and no deaths recorded as the rate of confirmed Coronavirius cases continues to drop in South but rise in the Northern regions of Nigeria, Theconscience reports.

“Till date, 398,304 have been tested, 53727 cases have been confirmed, 41314 cases have been discharged and 1011 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

“The 250 new cases are reported from 20 states- Plateau (69), FCT (41), Lagos (21), Delta (14), Kaduna (14), Bayelsa (13), Enugu (13), Ekiti (11), Bauchi (9), Ogun (8), Edo (7), Oyo (7), Rivers (6), Adamawa (4), Osun (4), Nasarawa (3), Ebonyi (2), Kwara (2), Gombe (1), Imo (1).”

From TheConscience Covid19 Nigeria analysis, Plateau State remains a flash point with 69 new cases shooting up from an initial drop to 44 earlier in the week while Lagos maintains its downward drop of 21 having dropped drastically from its average of over 100 cases daily to 17 and 21 cases lately. Lagos, in effect, continues its new found position as no longer the epicentre of the deadly virus in the nation.

In Oyo, Coronavirus drops also from its earlier standing of 31 and 9 to 7 cases, Kwara dropped further to 2 from 6; FCT rose from 14 to 41; kaduna rose from 2 to 14, Enugu from 0 to 13, Edo dropped from 15 to 7 while Delta, Ekiti, and Bayelsa recorded 14,11 and 13 Coronavirus cases respectively on Saturday.

17 states had no new case on Saturday, including Ondo, Kogi, Akwa Ibom, Borno, Anambra, Niger, Ebonyi and 10 others.
