APGA’s Soludo Sweeps All 21 LGAs to Win Anambra Governorship Poll
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Professor Chukwuma Soludo, candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), winner of the 2025 Anambra State governorship election.
The announcement was made on Sunday in Awka by the Returning Officer, Professor Edoba Omoregie.
Soludo secured a commanding victory with 422,664 votes, defeating his closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who garnered 99,445 votes.
Sir Paul Chukwuma of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) came third with 37,753 votes. INEC said a total of 16 candidates contested the poll, with 2,788,864 registered voters, of whom 598,229 were accredited.

The APGA candidate won convincingly across all 21 local government areas of the state in what observers have described as a landslide.
Announcing the results, Omoregie stated that 595,298 votes were cast in total, 584,054 were valid, and 11,244 were rejected.
He affirmed that despite minor cancellations in a few wards, the margin of lead rendered them inconsequential to the final outcome.
