Teenager Shot Dead For Allegedly Attempting To Steal In Osun State
THECONSCIENCE NG reports that 16-year-old boy identified as Osewa Joshua has been reportedly shot dead while allegedly attempting to steal at a neighbour’s house.
The deceased young lad, a resident of Irewumi Community, Owode-Ede, located in Ede North Local Government Area of Osun State, was said to have been gunned down by a security guard reportedly employed by the house owner.
He was said to have successfully scaled the fence of a house belonging to a man, Abubakar Morufu Olalekan, in the Irewumi community on August 16, 2025, before a man guarding the premises opened fire on him and killed him.
It was gathered that Joshua bled to death in Olalekan’s compound before help came his way.
The incident, it was learned, has generated confusion and controversy in the community after the parents of the deceased accused the house of premeditated killing of their son.
