…Vows to Vote En Masse on 12 July.

Hundreds of women in the Lagos Island area of Lagos State declared their support for Prince Taiwo Oyekan as the next Chairman of the Lagos Island Local Government on Thursday.

Many of the women who spoke to The Conscience TV stated that their decision was not merely political; they were genuinely impressed by Prince Oyekan’s impeccable pedigree, personality, experience, character, and track record.

The women, numbering over 3,000 and representing various ages and backgrounds, defied heavy rainfall to hold a solidarity rally for the local government candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos Island.

Walking through popular areas and markets in Lagos Island, including Ofin, Isale-Eko, Olowogbowo, Ita-Faji, Ilupesi, and others, the women sang praises of Oyekan, extolling his virtues and asserting that he is the best choice for the next mayor of Lagos.

The women were seen encouraging others to vote for Oyekan, speaking glowingly about his character.

Mama Habibat, a septuagenarian, remarked, “My admiration for Prince Taiwo Oyekan stems from his humility. He never lets his status as a prince affect his behaviour. He is humble, soft-spoken, focused, hardworking, amiable, kind, warm, and relates well with everyone.”

A resident of Lagos, Tayibat Alade, expressed that Oyekan’s commitment to the masses inspired her to support him in the forthcoming council elections on 12 July.
