As accomplished administrators and financial experts who carved a niche for themselves in the private corporate world and extended same to their service in the public sector as two terms governors of Lagos and Borno states respectively, these two tested and trusted technocrats referenced their account of stewardship as marketing points for their 2023 presidential and vice presidential ambition.

As Governor of Lagos State (1999-2007) President-elect Distinguished Senator Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as a financial guru ensured that the economy of the state survived the despotism of former President Olusegun Obasanjo tyrannical and condemnable withholding of Lagos State federal allocation from April 2004 – May 2007 for the offence of creating additional local government council areas.
When dictator Obasanjo threatened states which created additional local government council areas to cancel them and return to status quo or forfeit their federal allocation, Ebonyi, Katsina, Nasarawa and Niger capitulated to the despotism of tyrant Obasanjo, but not President-elect Distinguished Senator Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who stood up to the dictator and courageously bore the consequences of Obasanjo’s tyranny and disobedience to the supreme court ruling on the matter.
