It’s no news that Tayo Ayinde, the Chief of Staff to the re – elected Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who also doubles as the Director General, of the Independent Campaign Council, (ICC) strategically worked tirelessly with party faithfuls to secure victory for his principal at the just concluded polls.

It was gathered that after the loss of the Lagos Presidential election on 25th February which saw his benefactor who contested under the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, lose to labour party, Ayinde popularly called Buffalo for his unrelenting approach to leadership and projects held a strategic meeting with the over 80 Directors and Deputy Directors of the Independent Campaign Council to switch gears and rejig strategies pronto.

It was at the meeting that he expressed his utmost displeasure to members present on the loss.

He told them without mincing words that it was a disgrace to APC that the President Elect lost his State.

He also emphasised that, it was the first time his benefactor, who miraculously won the election will be asking for something for himself.

All Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu ever did in the past was to assist people to achieve their desires and ambitions both in business and politics.

It was at the meeting that plans were put in place to win the state back. Suggestions were raised, and he told members to swing to action to ensure victory at the march 18th Gubernatorial election.

He was also said to have met different interest groups, market women and aggrieved youths. He worked through the nights in some of the days preceding the state governor’s re-election.

The rest is history, as the election results when announced, saw the massive re – election of the Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to loud applause and jubilation.

Ayinde, as those close to him testify, is not a man of much words but action. He is said to be a man who drives for the result; he listens and will always take good and appropriate corrections when needed.

Lagos State and APC are indeed blessed with this energetic, strategic and positively minded man. He is an achiever and an asset to the nation in all ramifications.
