Gunmen Abduct Two Islamic Clerics In Ogun State

Two Islamic clerics have been abducted by gunmen who also took time to eat at their residence at Ayetoro in Yewa North local government of Ogun state.

Abduljelil Hussein and Iiyas Jamil were abducted around 10pm on December 18 after arriving home from a public lecture.

An elder brother of one of the victims, Ibrahim Hussein said the gunmen seized phones of occupants of the house and also went into the kitchen and ate the food the cleric wives prepared before before abducting his brother and his friend.

Hussein said: ” It happened around 10pm when they were alighting from the Toyota Highlander which my brother bought two months ago.

The kidnappers were five and when they came, they laid ambush somewhere in the dark and were able to capture them immediately.

After they took them, they marched them inside, seized our phones, went to the kitchen, took eba and a pot of soup. They ate the food and all the meats in it before taking them away.”
