Police Arrest Fleeing Housemaid Who Allegedly Killed Ex-Govs Mom
The police operatives in Edo state have arrested a housemaid, Dominion Okoro who allegedly murdered the mother of Chief lucky Igbinedion, a two time former governor of Edo state.
The suspect, who hails from Cross river state allegedly strangled the deceased, Maria Oredola Igbinedion, 85, to death on December 2, 2021 at her home in Igbo area of Benin, the state capital.
It was gathered that the suspect allegedly also ransacked the deceased’s home for her jewelries and money and carted them away.
According to EBS crime correspondent Festus Alenkhe, the suspect was arrested on December 15, 2021 in Calabar by a combined tactical team of the Nigerian police.
She is currently being held at the Edo state police headquarters in Benin city.
