Femi Kuti, Burna Boy, Wizkid Nominated For 2022 Grammy Award
Nigerian singers Femi Kuti, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Made Kuti have been nominated for the 2022 Grammy award.
This was made known by the Recording Academy after it released the nominations for the 2022 Grammy awards in a live stream on November 23, 2021.
Wizkid was nominated in the ‘Best Global Music Performance’ category for ‘Essence’, his collaborative song with Tems. Also nominated in the category is ‘Pa Pa Pa’ by Femi Kuti and ‘Do Yourself’ by Angelique Kidjo and Burna Boy.
Wizkid’s ‘Made In Lagos’ album and ‘Legacy +’ by Femi and Made Kuti were put up in the ‘Best Global Music Album’ category.
The 2022 Grammys’ main event will air on January 31, 2022, at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT on the CBS Television Network.
