VeryDarkMan ‘ll Not Be Alive Next Day If He Talks About Popular Imam – Deeone
THECONSCIENCE NG reports that Former BBNaija housemate and comedian Aderombi Adedayo Martin, popularly known as Deeone, has called out social media critic Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan for being bias in his criticism of religious leaders.
Deeone who has been vocal about VDM since allegations arose concerning his NGO and a substantial sum of N180 million missing had a lot to say about the social media critic.
Speaking on The Honest Bunch Podcast, Deeone alleged that VDM selectively targets pastors while avoiding criticism of prominent Islamic clerics, suggesting fear of backlash.
He pointed out that VDM has openly criticised Christian leaders such as Pastor Jeremiah and Pastor Paul Enenche but has refrained from speaking against influential northern clerics.
He stated: “Let VeryDarkMan go and talk about one popular Imam in the North. He will not be alive the next day. Let him go to Kano, Kaduna and Nasarawa and talk about one Imam, the way he goes to different churches and let’s him go and make mockery of Muslims.
“Why is his action one-sided? Who has he not called out? From the respected Pastor Adeboye to Paul Enenche.”
Deeone calls VDM out for deceit in identity
Deeone also described VeryDarkMan as devious and suggested that he presents a false identity.
He stated that VDM’s real identity was made public when Lil Smart shared a leaked conversation during the dancer’s assault allegations against Naira Marley and Zinoleesky
He stated:
“Nobody truly knows VeryDarkMan, the only time that people got to know who he really is was when Lil Smart released his recorded conversation with him, which was oblivious to VDM. He said things like ‘I will break your bones’, ‘If I say you won’t leave Abuja, there is nowhere you are going.’
“All those ‘I am fighting for human rights’ are lies, because that was the true VDM. A man is not who he shows you. A man is who he hides.”
He further claimed that VDM does not identify as part of the ‘straight’ community, alleging that he is involved with men—a statement that has sparked significant online discussion and varied reactions.
Having more in his pot of soap, Deeone also ‘cooked’ VDM, as he accused him of being one-sided in his criticisms, particularly when it comes to religious leaders.
To back up his claims, Deeone challenged VDM to sue him concerning everything he had said on the podcast show.
Deeone’s criticism has sparked a debate about hypocrisy and selective outrage in the online community.
