According to the statement, Adeyemi’s appointment follows the impending retirement of the current Controller-General, Engr. Abdulganiyu Jaji Olola, who will exit service on August 13, 2025, after reaching the statutory retirement age of 60.

“DCG Olumode Samuel Adeyemi brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having transferred from the FCT Fire Service to the Federal Fire Service, where he rose to the rank of Deputy Controller-General in the Human Resource Directorate at the Service Headquarters,” the statement read.
