THECONSCIENCE NG reports that 13-year-old male pupil of St. Paul Primary School, Ikot Ibiok in the Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State has been arrested by the state police command for threatening fellow pupils with a locally made pistol in the school.

Parading the suspect with his father, among other criminal suspects at the State Police headquarters, Ikot Akpan-Abia, Uyo, the Public Relations Officer, DSP Timfon John, said the suspect was arrested following a distress call by the school authority, as he was seen threatening other pupils with it.

She said the police arrested the suspect and his father and recovered the pistol, adding that investigations were ongoing.

She said, “On interrogation, the suspect confessed that he has been with the said gun since November 2024 and that he got the gun from a wardrobe in his father’s bedroom. The father was later arrested. The investigation is still ongoing.”

John said all the suspects would be charged to court upon completion of investigations.

Also, 25-year-old Anietimfon Eyo was paraded for defiling a young lady of 17 years (name withheld).
