
Oniba Powers Tech Institutes to Train 150 Community Youths on Digital Skills
In a bold move to empower the next generation with essential digital skills, Oba (Dr.) Sulaimon Adeshina Raji Ashade I, the Oniba of Iba Kingdom, has partnered with Seraph PR and Media, Othello Institute of Technology, and Avalanche to launch a free digital marketing training programmes for youths in Iba community.
The initiative, tagged TechUpNaija: Iba Edition, is a three-day community-driven training programme aimed at equipping over 150 youths and small business owners with practical knowledge in computer literacy and social media marketing.
The training is scheduled to hold on June 16th, 18th, and 20th, 2025, at the Oniba’s palace, which was generously made available by the Oniba as part of his ongoing efforts to support grassroots development.
The programme is designed to bridge the digital divide among youths and small-scale entrepreneurs in the Iba community, especially at a time when online visibility and digital skills have become essential to business growth.

Training will focus on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp marketing, empowering participants to grow their brands, promote their businesses, and access broader markets using accessible online tools.
Speaking about the initiative, the Dir. of strategic media for HRM Oba (Dr.) Sulaimon Adeshina Raji Ashade I, Olalere Samuel Owoseni emphasized the importance of early exposure to digital tools, especially for underserved communities, “Our goal is to ensure that no youth in Iba is left behind in the digital economy. This training is a step in the right direction, and we’re proud to be part of it.”
Also lending his voice, Judah Kolawole, Director of Seraph PR and Media, stated, “This partnership is a powerful demonstration of what’s possible when traditional institutions and modern organizations unite for community growth. We’re not just teaching skills, we’re building confidence, self-sufficiency, and long-term opportunity for our people.”
Participants will receive practical, hands-on training, and outstanding attendees stand a chance to win tech gifts and cash prizes to support their entrepreneurial journey.
