The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has commiserated with President Mohammadu Buhari and the entire nation over the demise of Mallam Abba Kyari, the President’s late Chief of Staff and confidante.
Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, had on Friday announced Kyari’s death. The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19, and had been receiving treatment until his death on Friday.
In a statement on Saturday, NIPR President, Mukhtar Zubairu Sirajo said “being a necessary end that comes at the appointed time, it is not the timing of one’s death that is important; rather, what one brings to life matters more.
“On this score, we derive consolation from the fact that Mallam Abba lived a life well spent serving his country diligently in various capacities, in both private and public sectors.
“On behalf of the Institute, I convey our most heartfelt condolences to his family, President Muhammadu Buhari and indeed all Nigerians over the death of Mallam Abba Kyari.”
Sirajo prayed that Allah (SWT) grants the bereaved the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Abba Kyari was buried at Gudu cemetery, Abuja on Saturday according to Islamic rites.
