Nigeria has recorded new Coronavirus cases with the NCDC announcing 667 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.
TheConscience Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 667 new Coronavirus cases in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Friday evening, June 19.
The NCDC noted that of the 667 COVID-19 cases recorded on Friday evening, 281 were detected in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, Abia-48 Oyo-45 FCT-38 Ogun-37 Enugu-31 Ondo-23 Plateau-21 Edo-19 Delta-18 Rivers-18 Bayelsa-17 Akwa Ibom-17 Kaduna-14 Kano-12 Bauchi-9 Gombe-4 Osun-3 Benue-3 Nasarawa-3 Kwara-3 Ekiti-2 Borno-1, northern Nigeria.
The NCDC tweeted: “667 new cases of #COVID19; Lagos-281 Abia-48 Oyo-45 FCT-38 Ogun-37 Enugu-31 Ondo-23 Plateau-21 Edo-19 Delta-18 Rivers-18 Bayelsa-17 Akwa Ibom-17 Kaduna-14 Kano-12 Bauchi-9 Gombe-4 Osun-3 Benue-3 Nasarawa-3 Kwara-3 Ekiti-2 Borno-1 19,147 confirmed 6,581 discharged 487 deaths,” the tweet added.
Meanwhile, TheConscience Nigeria reports that the development means that Nigeria’s total confirmed cases of coronavirus have risen to nineteen thousand and one hundred and forty-seven (19,147) with six thousand, five hundred and eighty-one (6,581) people discharged and four hundred and eighty-seven (487) deaths recorded so far.
