Lagos Island APC Chairmanship Candidate, Oyekan Visits Badru, Strengthens Political Alliance
THECONSCIENCE NG reports that in a significant move to enhance community engagement and solidify support ahead of the upcoming elections, Hon. Taiwo Oyekan, the chairmanship candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Lagos Island Local Government, paid a visit to Hon. Dr. Dolapo Badru, the House of Representatives member representing Lagos Island Federal Constituency 1.
Accompanying Oyekan were the Director-General of his campaign team, Hon. Lateef Ogunfowora, and several Honourable Councillors.
The meeting, which took place on Saturday May 17 is part of Oyekan’s intensified efforts to bolster consultations and foster collaboration within the party as he prepares for the electoral race.
Dr. Badru extended his warm congratulations to Oyekan, emphasizing the importance of unity and collective effort in addressing the needs of the community.
The Federal lawmaker in Lagos commended Oyekan for his leadership and community oriented programmes.
In his remarks, Oyekan stated, “It’s about the people and our communities. Together, we can elevate Lagos Island to greater heights.” He reiterated the commitment of the APC to prioritize the welfare of constituents and ensure that their voices are heard in governance.
