
JAMB 2026 CBT: Lagos CP Deploys Police Personnel, Orders Comprehensive Security in Centres
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, has ordered the strategic deployment of adequate personnel, operational and intelligence assets to all approved centres for the 2026 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Computer-Based Test (CBT) across the State.
A statement on Thursday signed by Lagos police spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, said the proactive security measure, in line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, was aimed at ensuring a safe, secure and conducive environment for candidates, examination officials and other stakeholders throughout the examination period.
According to her, officers deployed for the assignment have been expressly directed to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, civility and vigilance while taking firm action against any form of examination malpractice, disorderly conduct or security breach. They are also to work in close synergy with other security agencies and relevant stakeholders to ensure effective security of examination centres, adjoining areas and access routes.

It added: “The Commissioner of Police enjoins candidates, parents, guardians and the general public to cooperate fully with security personnel and adhere strictly to all examination guidelines to guarantee a seamless and hitch-free exercise.
