Headies Academy Unveils Star-Studded Lineup For 17th Edition Of Music Awards

THECONSCIENCENG NG reports that the Headies Academy has officially announced the performer lineup for the highly anticipated 17th edition of the prestigious Headies Awards.

 

Set for April 27, 2025, at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, this year’s ceremony is themed “Back to Base” and promises to be a spectacular celebration of African music and talent.

The Academy has confirmed electrifying performances from Shallipopi, Qing Madi, Nasboi, Chike, and Flavour.

 

Leading the nominations with six nods—including the coveted Next Rated category—Shallipopi is set to thrill fans with his unique sound and stage presence.

Chike, a past Headies winner who is back this year with four nominations, will also grace the stage. Meanwhile, legendary highlife singer Flavour, a recipient of the Headies Lifetime Achievement Award, is expected to deliver a memorable performance.

Marking a major shift in the awards calendar, this year will feature two editions of the awards. The second ceremony is scheduled for December 2025, a move the Academy says is aimed at closing the gap years that have affected previous editions.

 

With a stellar lineup and fresh format, the 17th edition promises to be one for the books.
