NACP Applauds Agric Ministry, Calls For More Partnership to Boost Food Production
The National Agricultural Commodities Projects (NACP) has lauded the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security over efforts to address food insecurity in the country.
The group however urged the government to identify and partner with private progressive organisations and farmers groups, that are already supporting smallholder farmers with farming inputs and extension services to maximize local food production.
At a meeting with key stakeholders in the agricultural sector, NACP Chairman, Amb. Dr. John Aderibigbe stressed the importance of collaboration in achieving food security.
He said: “We commend the Ministry for their efforts, but we believe that partnering with relevant organizations already on the ground will amplify the impact.”
