First Nation Airways MD, Kayode Odukoya in a Fraud court case with Polaris Bank Nigeria

In an alleged fraud case involving Managing Director of First Nation Airways Limited, Kayode Odukoya for obtaining a credit facility worth N1.7 Billion from Polaris Bank through forgery, Justice Mojisola Dada of the Ikeja Special Offences Court, Lagos, has fixed 15 to 18 February 2021 for Odukoya to open his defence.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has re-arraigned Kayode Odukoya alleging that the Airline Boss forged memorandum of loss of Lagos State certificate of occupancy to secure the loan facilities from Polaris Bank.

Kayode Odukoya who was earlier docked on a four count charges along his companies, First Nation Airways Limited and Bellview Airlines Limited was re-arraigned on a seven count charges bothering on forgery, use of false document, perjury, stealing and obtaining credit by fraud.

He pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

Upon his not guilty plea, the prosecuting counsel, Mr. Nnaemeka Omewa, informed the court that the commission would be closing its case having called five witnesses to prove the allegations against Kayode Odukoya.

Polaris Bank: Back from the dead

Meanwhile, his counsel, Mr. Edoka Onyeke had prayed the court for the Airline boss to continue to enjoy his earlier bail granted and prayed further to ask the court to recall three prosecutor witnesses who had testified earlier in the trial.
