Zamfara State Governor, Bello Mohammed Matawalle has promised to ensure smooth takeoff of the state university.
Governor Matawalle in a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Ibrahim Bello Zauma, stated this on Thursday while receiving members of Zamfara State Strategy and Development Commit at the Government House Gusau.
The committee which is chaired by Prof. Yusuf Adamu Tsafe was constituted to carry out a number of functions and one of those functions was to advise the Executive Governor on the smooth take-off of the newly established Zamfara State University. Other members of the committee are Prof. Yahya Zakari Abdullahi, Alhaji Musa Ahmed Bungudu, Jalaludeen Ibrahim Maradun, Malam Gazali Shehu Ahmad, Dr. Bashir Maru Maru, and Barr. Fati Nahuche

The governor who was impressed with the presentation of the committee appreciates all the members of the committee for their commitment and assured them that his administration will continue to support their committee which he described as “a very important committee”.
According to the Chairman, the committee carefully arrived at the recommendations after a thorough study of the situation of the newly established Zamfara State University.
He also promised to sit with his team and discuss the report of the committee for possible implementation of the key recommendations.
Prof. Yusuf on behalf of the committee thanked Gov. Matawalle most sincerely for the opportunity to serve the state in that capacity and also thanked the SSG Alhaji Bello Bala Maru for his support and understanding.
Prof. Yusuf also took that opportunity and briefed Gov. Matawalle about the success they are recording in their main assignment which is designing an implementable 10-year (2020-2030) Development Plan for the state and further assured that in spite of some challenges, his committee will continue to discharge its noble duties diligently for the development of Zamfara and its people
