Woman I Wanted To marry Asked For 2 cars First – Saka

THECONSCIENCE NG reports that Veteran comic actor and lecturer, Hafiz Oyetoro, popularly known as Saka, has shared how a woman he once hoped to marry left him because he couldn’t meet her condition of owning two cars.

The 61-year-old actor revealed this while speaking in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, which aired over the weekend.

According to him, the woman rejected his marriage proposal, saying she wouldn’t marry him unless he had two cars.

“The woman I was supposed to marry was demanding that I had to have two cars first before anything. I had to end the relationship,” he said.

Although he was already popular at the time, Oyetoro explained that he couldn’t afford even one car, let alone two.

“I was already popular when this lady said she couldn’t marry me unless I had two cars. I wasn’t even thinking of one, talk less of two,” he added.

The “I don port o star”, who became a household name through the famous MTN advert in 2013, later married Olaide, the woman he describes as the love of his life.

“I got married at 40. The only new thing about me now is that I pay school fees with grey hair. But I’m grateful. Marrying my wife is the best decision ever,” he said.

Saka and Olaide have been married for over two decades and are blessed with three children—two sons and a daughter.

Despite his fame and the attention that comes with celebrity life, the actor insists he has remained faithful to his wife.

“I’ve never had an extramarital affair. I don’t have it in me to chase women around. Even before I got married, I was not promiscuous,” he said.

He also shared the backstory behind his signature bald head, saying it started during his university days when he shaved his hair for a stage play and it never grew back.

“I shaved my head for a role in school and the hair never grew again. That’s how I’ve looked ever since,” he explained.

Oyetoro, who lectures at Lagos State University of Education, is celebrated for his humour, simplicity, and strong values, both on screen and in real life.
