
Delta Police Arrest Varsity Student For Stabbing Colleague, Demanding Ransom
THECONSCIENCE NG reports that The Police in Delta State have apprehended a suspect in connection with the alleged stabbing of a fellow student and subsequent demand for ransom from her family.
The incident, which reportedly occurred at the newly renamed Southern Delta University in Oleh, was announced by the Delta Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, in a statement shared on X on Thursday.
According to Edafe, the suspect allegedly lured the victim, a 100-level student, to the university auditorium.
Armed with a kitchen knife, the suspect reportedly stabbed the student twice in the neck and chest.
Edafe wrote on X: “It’s so sad that some of our boys due to a lack of home training are cutting short the lives of innocent girls. She is a 100-level student of the newly named Southern Delta University. The suspect who was armed with a kitchen knife asked her to meet him at the school auditorium where he stabbed her twice in her neck and chest. He later used the girl’s phone to call the father and demand for ransom.”
