Alake, Others Applaud Fatgbems Foundation Over Food Initiative

The Alake of Egba-Land, His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr.) Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III, has commended Fatgbems Foundation, the non-profit and corporate social responsibility arm of Fatgbems Group, for its Support Initiative, which distributed food to 5,000 people across Abeokuta, Lagos, and Oyo States.

Speaking through the Amona of Egba-Land, High Chief Tajudeen Oladehinde, the monarch described the initiative as commendable, particularly at a time when many households struggle to secure three square meals. He noted that it significantly supports government and traditional efforts aimed at alleviating the economic downturn.

Chief Tajudeen further emphasised that the composition of the food bags represents a substantial investment by the foundation, leaving a lasting impression on beneficiaries that will be remembered for years to come.

“We express our profound gratitude to the board and management of Fatgbems Group for demonstrating corporate responsibility through this commendable initiative, which others should emulate,” he stated.

He added that the food palliative initiative complements the foundation’s mission and aligns with efforts to support the government and other institutions in mitigating the effects of economic challenges on Nigerians.

Gbemisola noted, “We have reached communities within our operational areas; not only Abeokuta but also Lagos and Oyo States have benefited. We will continue to enhance our efforts, aiming not just to give back but to create a lasting impact both within and beyond our catchment areas.”

In her remarks, Chief Mrs. Oluwakemi Oloyede, the Iya-Loja of Egba-Land, praised the initiative and expressed gratitude on behalf of the entire market community in Abeokuta and Egba-Land for the food palliatives distributed across various markets.
