Court Bars DSS from Arresting Sunday Igboho
…Says Sunday Igboho should not killed, maimed.
THECONSCIENCEng reports that an Ibadan High Court presided over by Justice Ladiran Akintola has granted an order of interim injunction restraining the Department of State Services and other security agencies from arresting, detaining, molesting or killing Yoruba Nation activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo also known as Sunday Igboho.
The suit was filed by Igboho’s counsel, Chief Yomi Aliyu and was granted on Wednesday.
Justice Akintola while adjourning the case to August 18 for hearing of the originating motion, said the respondents must be served before the date.
The Yoruba Nation activist had sued the DSS after the secret police invaded his Ibadan home in the wee hours killing his associates and damaging his cars and property.
The DSS had further to the nocturnal raid declared Igboho wanted before his arrest by Benin Republic authorities at the airport en route Germany with his Germany based wife, Ropo.
