The Voice Nigeria 3: Darey Loses Outstanding Dapo, As Show Heats Up into Battles Stage
It was a highly competitive round as six gifted contestants from Team Darey performed various songs to the applause and admiration of the celebrity coaches and viewers in the episode 10 and finals of the knock out stage as The Voice Nigeria 3 talents reality series heats up into the Battles stage during the weekend, THECONSCIENCEng reports.
Jeremiah, Blescene, Rachel, Ayomikun, Dapo and Esther were the six all stars contestants from Team Darey who made it to the knock out stage.
At the end of the spectacular performances, only Rachel who performed Beyonce’s “Smash Into You” got a straight ticket to the next stage called The Battles while Darey who had earlier confessed he was taking his time to watch all performances before making decisions saved Jeremiah who had performed ” Believe” by Ric Hassani and Esther who performed “Flying Without Wings” by Westlife.
Shockingly, Dapo, who is arguably the best of the talents was about to be sent to the danger zone by Darey but was immediately stolen by Falz after Waje and Falz pressed the buzzer to save the amazing talent.
Dapo who was the fifth performer had given an awesome delivery of the classic “I wanna Know” by Joe and clearly mesmerised the celebrity coaches especially the ladies who were gushing over him.
Commenting on Dapo’s performance, Yemi Alade who couldn’t contain her excitement said “Every inch of your vocal chord was made to pleasure the ears.” while Waje added that “Every note shows you (Dapo) sing from your soul, and that’s a true artist to me. Well done.”
In his reaction, Falz emphasised that Dapo is a “special talent” and he should always remember that.
Since the beginning of the show, Dapo has been one of the most promising acts to look out for with his various mesmerising deliveries including his performance of Bobby Valentino’s “Let Me Love You” during the Blinds which got the very meticulous and experienced Coach Darey to pick him.
An elated Falz was all smiles when the very gifted Dapo finally agreed to join his team. Interestingly, while Darey lost Dapo, his hot talent to Falz, Falz had earlier lost Kpee, his young and versatile talent to Darey during the Knock outs.
