Job Recruitment: NSCDC, Immigration, Fire Service, Corrections Begin 2025 Batch

THECONSCIENCE NG reports that the Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the commencement of a nationwide recruitment exercise into four paramilitary agencies under its supervision.

 

In a statement issued on Monday in Abuja, the Secretary to the Board, retired Major-General Abdulmalik Jubril, said the recruitment would begin on Thursday, June 27, 2025, and is open to qualified Nigerians.

 

Jubril confirmed that the exercise covers full-time positions in the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), and the Federal Fire Service (FFS).

“All applications must be submitted online through the board’s portal: [https://recruitment.cdcfib.org](https://recruitment.cdcfib.org) within three weeks of this announcement,” he stated. “The application process is free, and multiple entries will lead to automatic disqualification.”

He said the available vacancies span across Superintendent, Inspectorate, and Assistant cadres, depending on the agency and qualifications required.

 

“For the Superintendent of Corrections (CONMESS 09), applicable only to the Correctional Service, applicants must hold a BSc in Medicine and Surgery,” Jubril explained.

 

He also noted that for Assistant Superintendent I (CONPASS 09) in the Federal Fire Service, candidates must have a Degree in Law or a BSc in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Water, or related fields.

“For Assistant Superintendent II (CONPASS 08), applicable to NSCDC, FFS and Immigration, candidates must have a BSc or Higher National Diploma,” he added.

 

Positions in the Inspectorate cadre, such as Inspector (CONHESS 06), require qualifications in nursing or midwifery and are open in NCoS, NSCDC and FFS. For Assistant Inspector (CONPASS 06), applicants must hold an ND or NCE in a relevant discipline.

 

General duty positions at the Assistant II level (CONPASS 04) require candidates to have at least five credits in O’Level results in not more than two sittings. Assistant III requires a minimum of four credits.

Jubril added that applicants must be Nigerian citizens, medically fit, have no prior criminal record or involvement in financial crime, and fall within the age bracket of 18 to 35 years.

 

The recruitment process is being coordinated by the CDCFIB with the aim of strengthening manpower across the participating security and emergency response agencies.
