Live shows Continue on The Voice Nigeria 4, as more winners emerged from voting
Electrifying musical performances continued on the live shows of the global music talents reality TV show, the voice Nigeria season 4, as the weekly show inched towards the final stage.
Its unique format featured four stages of competition, including the Blind Auditions, Knockouts, Battles and Live Shows, for an opportunity to grab the grand prizes.
Four coaches cum judges, including superstar singers Waje, Praiz, and Naeto C had selected four singers each to represent their teams respectively at the finals while Niyola chose five.
The audience had also picked the fifth representative for team Praiz through e-voting. John Akpos was unveiled during episode sixteen (16) as the last member for Praiz with Niyola’s team already completed.
The show is sponsored in Nigeria by First Bank, the nation’s 129-year-old premier financial powerhouse, as part of its strategic support for arts, entertainment and youth development.

It was the turn of Coach Praiz to showcase his talents individually at the live shows.
Voice coach, Remi performed Jonny Drille featuring Simi’s Hallelujah while powerhouse vocalist, Ben performed Lionel Richie’s Hello. Roseline sang Jordan Sparks featuring Chris Brown’s No Air, while SHV did Chris De Burgh’s Lady In Red. Akpos, the latest returnee also sang Miguel’s Adorn.
Represented by ace rapper, Ice Prince, Niyola’s team then came on.
Roland and Mike Frost sang Fireboy’s Favourite Song and Bandana back-to-back before Gideon performed Ric Hassani’s Gentleman. Pere, a soft singer, performed Daniel Beddingfield’s If You Are Not The One delightfully to a standing ovation, while Manuel closed the show with a performance of Ceelo Green’s Forget You.
The show had started with the judges calling the shots during the blinds, then the singers who had to decide their coach when they get multiple turns.
The audience makes all decisions during the live show finals, including who emerges as final winners.
Each coach also has a final opportunity to grant a fast-forward to only one of the five talents in the team while the remaining four will be up for audience votes. praiz gave the slot to shy while ice prince chose Pere for Niyola.
The next episode will see more singers emerge via audience votes for the finals.
