Music talent, Jennifer opened the voice Nigeria weekly reality tv show on a brilliant note at the weekend with a scintillating performance of Jennifer Hudson’s classic, And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going.
The performance attracted glowing comments and encomiums from all the four coaches who described the singer as a super star during the ninth episode of the competition.
She became the first of six female talents who made the seven-member ladies-dominated Coach Naeto C’s list for the Battles stage with Bryan as the only male, following impressive displays of vocal dexterity and emotional connection.
Others include Amaka, Adanna, Fatima, Adeola and Star who was saved alongside Bryan by the coach towards the end of the episode.
The coach had prior to the performances trained all the twelve talents in his group separately and guided them on how best to deliver their chosen songs.
The victorious team will join two groups of seven outstanding talents each from Coaches Praiz and Waje as the Knockout stage inches close to an exciting end.
The show, in its fourth season, sponsored by financial powerhouse, First Bank in Nigeria, features four stages of competition, including the Blind Auditions, Knockouts, Battles and Live Shows, for an opportunity to grab the grand prizes.

HOW THEY EMERGED
Despite an energetic display of showmanship to the groovy afro beat song, Quindon couldn’t sustain the opening performance and failed to convince the coach that he could handle Dj Neptune’s Nobody with required mastery. Savvy ‘s rendition of John Legend’s Love Me Now toed the same path.
Then Amaka revved up the atmosphere with her breathtaking rendition of Rihanna’s Like A Diamond followed by Star’s bold delivery of Ariana Grande’s God Is A Woman before Adanna sealed the tempo with a powerful version of Omawumi’s If You Ask Me.
Both Gabriel’s handling of Patoranking’s Abule and Fejiro’s rendition of Keri Hilson’s Knock You Down were also unimpressive. Lotanna’s attempt to bring home Writings On The Wall by Sam Smith also lacked splendour.
Fatima’s electric delivery of High Jackman’s A Million Dreams, Bryan’s sonorous touch of Michael Bolton’s How am I Supposed To Live Without You and Adeola’s emotional delivery of Bryan Adams Everything I Do It For You ended the day on a high note.
Gabriel, Fejiro, Lotanna, Savvy and Quindon
dropped out of the show.
