…Parades fictitious Abuja documents to intimidate LASG.
Lagos based land grabber, Tajudeen Ishola Mohammed, has begun fresh moves to hijack a landed property in Ikeja GRA belonging to the Lagos state government.
Sources confirmed that Tajudeen has recently been parading fictitious documents allegedly obtained from Abuja to harass the state in order to hijack the property.
The source who reaffirmed that the land belonged to the state government said Tajudeen’s latest move was dead on arrival as no amount of false documents or cheap blackmail can intimidate the state and its officials.
In Lagos, the state holds the power to grant approval for sale or transfer of lands and issue property related documents especially for a state owned property.
An official Lagos State government gazette dated 7th November, 1974 which lists the said property as No. 122 amongst other state property was sighted by our correspondent.
The Lagos government had on July 19, 2022 demolished a building on the said property located at No. 4, Ladoke Akintola Street, GRA Ikeja, insisting it belongs to the state.
Lagos State Building Control Agency (LSBCA), the government agency which coordinated the exercise cited lack of any valid approvals or documentations for the demolition, as the developer was said to have commenced building on the property without the required papers.
Tajudeen, who has been declared wanted by the police for defrauding unsuspecting members of the public over sales of landed property and selling single property to multiple buyers across various areas of the state, couldn’t provide genuine documents to back his claims of ownership.
Instead, he had resorted to blackmail and name calling, accusing the state government of hastily demolishing the property.
In a statement, LSBCA confirmed that it served the developer of the said property a demolition notice before carrying out the exercise on the 3800 square metres property.
Investigations also revealed that Tajudeen Ishola Mohammed has been declared a persona non grata in the Isheri and Isheri and Isolo and other communities of Lagos over criminal activities related to land grabbing and other dubious property related activities.
He was said to have swindled his victims to the tune of millions of naira over shady property transactions.
Mr Tajudeen Ishola Mohammed is also said to be on the wanted list of security agencies in the country over land related crimes.
The Lagos state government has been on high alert over incessant atrocities perpetrated by land grabbers operating within the state.
To enforce the law and nip the menace in the bud, it also set up a land grabbing task force, in a bid to rid the state of activities of Omo Onile and land grabbers who usurped people’s property forcefully or swindle innocent citizens trying to legitimately acquire landed property.
