According to the vice president, President Tinubu has shown ” competence and capacity” and is determined to provide leadership for the country at this critical time.

He, however, said the country will not experience meaningful development without unity, calling on Nigerians to jettison religious and ethnic affiliations to rally behind the government for transformation.

“The state of affairs in our country requires that we coalesce into a single force irrespective of differences in political affiliations or religious persuasions, tribal and sectional backgrounds because what binds us together supersedes what divides us.
“It is very difficult to remove the building blocks holding this country together. We are a kaleidoscope of colours.
We are essentially one people tied to a common destiny, so, let’s work together. We need this country to work and this government is willing to work for the good of the nation.”
After his assumption of office on May 29, 2023, President Tinubu has been applauded by some well meaning Nigerians for taking critical decisions, including the removal of the fuel subsidy, appointment of new service chiefs, the unification of the foreign exchange, amongst others.
