The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr Peter Obi has won the presidential election in Lagos State.
Obi defeated the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu after the votes were calculated from all the 20 Local Government Areas in the state.
Tinubu is a former Lagos State governor and the state is his stronghold.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who is the candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), came a distant third according to the results announced at collation centre.

In total, Obi polled 582,454, Tinubu got 572,606 votes, while Atiku reached 75,750 votes.
