… Leads youth mentorship session for November
Chief Mrs Oyeyemi Olasumbo Florence, Commissioner for Finance in Kwara State, has emerged Teacher of the November edition of Raise Life Class.
Mrs Oyeyemi is the youngest and first female Finance Commissioner in Kwara State, managing the fiscal policy strategy of the state.
An alumnus of Harvard Kennedy School of Government, she is a Public Finance Specialist, ACCA Certified in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).
She is also a Certified Fraud Examiner and Management Consultant with over 10 years of experience in Business Management, Educational Administration and Public Administration in both private and public sectors.

The edition held on Sunday, 27th, November, 2022.
According to the statement signed by Abdullah Abdulganiy, Mrs Oyeyemi will be the third female teacher for the Raise Life Class which has featured great amazons, including the First Lady of Kwara State, Amb. Dr. Mrs. Olufolake AbdulRazaq and a Commissioner in the state, Hajiah Sa’adatu Moddibo-Kawu.
“On behalf of our convener Hon. Ibraheem Abdullateef, I announce Mrs Oyeyemi Olasumbo Florence as our teacher at the November edition of Raise Life Class.
The entire Raise Community appreciates her for accepting to facilitate the session and thereby joining the list of the amazons we have had as teachers in the past,” it read.

Mrs Oyeyemi holds a Bachelor’s Degree and a Masters Degree in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National Teachers’ Institute, Kaduna.
Raise is a monthly mentorship programme geared towards the development of young people in career, leadership and entrepreneurship. It is an initiative created to deepen social cohesion and build a network of quality new generation leaders in the public and private sectors in Kwara State.
It had over the months featured the First Lady of Kwara State, Amb. Dr. Olufolake AbdulRazaq; late Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University, Professor Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi, SAN; former Minister of Youths and Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi; first Ilorin Emirate Professor, Saka Nuru; former Kwara State Commissioner of Education, Hajiah Sa’adatu Moddibo-Kawu; Public Relations Officer, Kwara State Police Command, SP Ajayi Okasanmi, among others.
