The Kwara State Government says it will continue to enhance capacity for the state civil servants.
This is expected to boost performance and workforce efficiency, and also enhance development in line with its agenda for the state.
The State Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology, Hon. Ibrahim Akaje stated this at the opening ceremony of the in-house training programme designed for Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the State, by the Office of the Head of Service.

The Commissioner, who was represented at the occasion by the Director, Personnel Finance and Supply of the Ministry, Hajia Habibah Salman-Saidu, urged the concerned staff to be attentive during the training lectures.
The training programme, Akaje said, will enhance the capacity of the workers and improve their performance in the effective discharge of their duties.
He, however, commended the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the capacity building programme, which is expected to assist the Civil Servants to effectively discharge their statutory duties.
The Commissioner also advised the participants to pay more attention so that they can effectively utilize the knowledge to be acquired from the training programme when they returned to work.
Earlier, the Head of Service, Mrs. Susan Modupe Oluwole, represented by the Director, Establishment and Training, Hajia Fatima Abolore Jimoh had disclosed that the training programme was an important aspect of the service, which is aimed at imparting knowledge to improve the capacity of the newly recruited and existing staff for maximum service delivery.

Mrs. Oluwole explained further that the in-house training was just an aspect of the capacity enhancement, pointing out that the larger training programme would come up very soon, where all Civil Servants would be given adequate training that will further improve their performance on the job.
She enjoined all the participants to be punctual, diligent, and utilize all the training lectures in discharging their responsibilities.
